Good Morning Lace on Race Community,

As you may be aware, today is the day that Lace and her family will be holding the Memorial Service in honor of her mother, Bobbye Jean Watkins, who died on March 11, 2022.

As we mourn and celebrate this wife, mother and woman who is deeply and dearly missed, today is a day of reflection and cleaving. May we, as a community, hold Lace well as she navigates this difficult time of grief.

With all that has transpired in the past few months, we have not been posting the usual monthly Invitation to Engage.

This month, we ask our community to consider a contribution to Lace on Race in memorium of Bobbye Jean Watkins as we continue to forge ahead in Full Respect Living and less harmful walking, North Star always guiding us.

As we choose to never forget those who’ve come become before us.

Bobbye Jean, today we honor and cherish you. For the life you lived, the wife and mother you were, and the legacy you leave behind.

Lace, we’re here and standing with you.
