thinking that I’m on the progressive end of the spectrum doesn’t mean I am. whyte supremacy already sets the terms and the price points on so many things, certainly related to consumerism and imbalanced inequitable relationships where I need to be willing to recognize when/how I’m part of the problem. Love that bit about sympathy all too easily being being empathy with a velvet glove/with self-interest at it’s center, that can all too easily intentionally ignore the front like worker/producer/laborer.
