I’ve been gathering signatures for Healthcare For All in my state/trying to get it on the ballet. The 40 signatures I’ve grabbed feel pretty petty, but as I got my last signature this week before I turn the petitions in, I was thinking how each of those who signed represent a story of conversations over the past few months. I’ve had moments where I didn’t know all the answers to questions asked during that process and need to work on being a more cogent communicator in the future. There were times I thought that maybe I shouldn’t be doing it because I couldn’t answer every question perfectly, but that would have been an excuse too not do it I think, too. Lace’s words here, ‘In truth we kind of like being told what to think’…the easy rather than digging in stand out to me here. I have room for growth in that digging in.
