While I was reading this I was thinking about how when cooking I’m pretty keen on following the recipe because leaving out even a single ingredient can have a devastating impact on the guts and tastebuds. I was thinking how that compares to often how little attention is paid when it comes to interpersonal interactions. Each interpersonal ingredient is just as important, yet it’s all to easy to leave out an ingredient and call it good, or blame the taste tester rather than the one who carelessly left out the butter. Pivoting to race that’s even more important, that more care is taken. New recipes, new relationships in new ways need extra care and attention. Thankful to be learning those skills here.
