‘We have to be as relentless as the systems and institutions are,’ yes. I’ve noticed Whyte people feeling relieved it wasn’t whyte officers, but that’s a way of distancing from accountability, distancing from personalizing and looking for where I can find myself in it. Im also reminded how in order to be relentless in the systems around me I have to be relentless with myself…internal change to create external change.
