I can’t believe it’s almost February, and the Lace on Race Center for Racial Equity is official! ♥️

I just wanted to check-in with everybody. How’s things? Anything on your mind? Anything happen at work that is worth sharing here that will further our North Star focus?

I’m also curious your thoughts on the best use of this group – what type of content would you like to see, how should we focus our time together?

I have been thinking about your question about keeping oriented to our North Star at work. Work is the place that I find myself hiding the most behind the patriarchy, the status quo, and, frankly, systemic racism. I speak up – but how much? The last thing I want to do is risk additional harm to the black and brown people that work with me, but do I use that fear to not use my power where I should use my power? I am going to watching this space for opportunities to root out and untangle where I am protecting myself and calling it protection of my co-workers (if that makes sense).
