Even as we cheer on these young people, we need to have a frank and comprehensive conversation about the disparities and dissonance between how they have been received by the media, the authorities, and the public, as opposed to young people who have been doing this work, individually and collectively, for years, even decades.

My heart is both very full, and broken into shards.
