Lace on Race; Lace on Grace (relational ethics)
This is the new thing Tikka Rose does: she has figured out that plopping herself directly behind my chair makes it impossible for me to get up; essentially holding me hostage.
Tikka is a sunny, cheerful jailer. Gentle panting; tail wagging, but a basically unmovable force.
But the bitch (the technical term, not a term of derision) has not yet completely thought things through.
Eventually though, she does get hungry/thirsty/wants a chicken treat, but the Source of all those Good Things (aka me) is trapped. Um, I am not about to help my benevolent oppressor. I already have my bubbly water. Eventually it occurs to her that her Employee (also aka me) is not catering to her needs, and she gets up and nudges me, in which case I do indeed move and comply (and get another seltzer before I pour the kibble, cuz she ain’t the boss o me! (um, yes she is)).
A peek into the front window of the shared life of Lace and Tikka Rose.
