There is a reason hearts and likes are discouraged to the point of prohibition.

It is not necessary to grasp or even agree with my rationale in order to honor my request.

One way to model respect for me is to honor my direction.

All of this is a lab. And a dress rehearsal.

Including this.

If you can’t follow this, you are not following black women in your offline lives. Not their policies, not their ethos, not their modeling and example.

Who you are here is who you are.

And how you engage with me, your putative leader–a woman *with whom you are in relationship* is a good proxy and check in with yourself as to just how you truly engage with, respect, and yes, honor those you say you hold in regard.
