Hey everybody.

This seems to be a good time to yet again remind everyone that resources shared at Lace on Race are considered, even and however unconsciously, to come with the approval and even endorsement of the space.

Again, we strongly ask that anyone who wants to share materials run it by us first; you can do it with a DM *before* you share in this space.

We now have people asking for materials that I have not vetted.

I wrote an entire post about that last week, and we’ll be adding it into my housekeeping post today.

Yet again. This is not a slam or a rejection of people’s suggestions for materials.

it is a very strong request that because this space is branded by *my name* that I be able to look at things and make sure that they fit in with our ethos, and also reserve the right to decide *when* the materials are disseminated.

Overarchingly, this is part of respecting me, my expertise, and the sanctity of this space.

I have said this before. We curate the space carefully. For every piece of material you see here I have looked at at least 10 others. I need to be able to see things and approve–or not that are basically being put forth in my own name.

I care deeply about this space. I want Lace on Race to have staying power, and yes, it does have a distinct point of view, and this is one area where, I believe strongly in the Spirit of this place, *and* why I absolutely should and do have the last word regarding materials: including what, how, when, and even *if* they are presented.
