April Budget Numbers: $2,000/$2,000

We are introducing a new organization to support for the remainder of April. This new org will be replacing the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund for the remainder of the month.

The Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium was formed to address the fact that black Americans are being diagnosed at a disproportionately higher rate than other groups and are dying from coronavirus at a higher rate than other groups. They have built a mobile COVID19 testing operation with a goal to provide a testing alternative that is BARRIER FREE to test for coronavirus disease in the hardest-hit areas in Philadelphia. The Consortium’s mission is to provide COVID 19 testing, advocacy and educate African-Americans on coronavirus disease.

To date, they have raised almost $44,000 of their $100,000 goal. All funds will go to cover: 1. Van Transportation; 2. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); 3. Educational Materials; and 4. Testing Supplies.
