These last three days have been Fast and Furious! I can barely Catch My Breath!

I still need to write the thank you for the first full week of May!

Spoiler alert, we made Basic Budget in 9 days! Just like last month!

So, now that the health of the community is assured, all subsequent financial engagement will go directly to Our Community Partners!

This is not the Ask for that yet ( we will be giving you more information about each of the partner orgs at that time) but if you want to consider this the Ask you can!

We won’t stop you. Heh.

What this post actually is, is a welcome of sorts.

In the last week, particularly in the last couple of days, we have seen a really big influx of new community members. It has certainly not gone unnoticed in Lace on Race admin chat !

I don’t think I’ve ever done this before but to all of you, particularly to any of you who have been here less than a…month, let’s say- could you please drop a comment and tell me where and how you found out about us?

We don’t run ads or boost posts, or really do anything ad related, so I’m genuinely curious.

At the end of the day though, it doesn’t really matter how you came to us, just that you did. Welcome.

We hope you find this space informative and engaging and we hope you find our community one that you would be not just willing to walk with but eager to go the distance with.

Thanks for being here.

And this is also a strong invitation to new people, and a strong exhortation two more seasoned walkers, to avail yourselves of the community guidelines. They are listed in the pinned post, as well as on the website. A lot of questions that people have about how to navigate the space, well they’re in there. As well there are ways to ensure that this place stays safe-ish and free-ish.

In the pinned post, there is also a section called Onboarding. New people feel free to take look at that with fresh eyes, and again, for those of you who have been here awhile I strongly encourage you to take a look at that series as well; nothing wrong with a little bit of review and repetition.
