Birdie Gutierrez is one of our March Community Partners. We dispersed funds early, in total faith that the community will step up. The need is too great at the border, it couldn’t wait until March. Regardless of whether or not we make budget in February, and we didn’t, we still make and keep commitments to Community Partners who do so much with so little, and two Community leaders who we admire and want to support and emulate.
