To you all: don’t clench.

Some of you may see Asks as an ad in your feed/sponsored post.

We are forced to do this.

Absent boosting the post, our reach is, at best, no more than 300 pairs of eyeballs.

We have made the hard choice to decide to pay to advertise.

Facebook holds our followers and those who like our Page more or less hostage.

Just because you like or follow, does not mean we can reach you without paying Facebook.

We are asking that you don’t become reactive or punish us for this.

That you don’t roll your eyes or resent or become angry about our need to boost posts.

There are ways to circumvent the need to boost; if more of you came to the page on your own, and or engaged in a tangible way without needing prompting or reminders.

Right now that is not the case, and in service to our Western Star-the sustainability, viability, and longevity our community- it is necessary to do so, at least in the short-term.
