Despise is not a word I would use toward people who display the behaviors and the attitudes and the biases of the third paragraph.

I would instead say that Hesed comes harder for me as I engage with these people.

Hesed heart can seem like an angry heart when this cohort is challenged and confronted.

That is *not* my despising them.

Rather, this is me turning to the people who are harmed by their hatred even as I keep doors open for dialogue and sturdy authentic walking.
