Pivot hard.
This is exactly why we focus so much on the internal.
Because when you don’t, or when you do it intermittently and or ambivalently and or badly, you will do violence to those who you say you stand for and with.
All of you have seen this exact dynamic played out here. Multiple times, on multiple levels.
You *will* displace your anger and Trauma and hurt.
You *will* blow up, shut down, or run away when faced with yourself.
You *will* sabotage relationships.
You *will* turn your survival strategies into weapons.
You *will* continuously infantilize yourself, because if you stay a toddler in the arena of Applied relational ethics, you will never have to be responsible for what you do and, crucially, you will never have to be responsible for who you ultimately are.
You *will* create more trauma for the people you say you want to see unflinchingly and hold well.
This is the Crux of the work.
Confront with courage.
Then comment.
