Yeah, everything is blamed on the weight, and the weight is always blamed on us. Everything from acute appendicitis, from which I almost died in 2009, to a fecking hangnail. Medical Services aversion is real. I have it. To know that I am going to sometimes cry on my way back to my car from either fatphobia or racism or classism or a fetid combination of all three; not exactly the greatest incentive. That any black women or fat woman or fat black woman does is a testament to their (our) fortitude.
