Amen to this. I don’t have the words to tell you how lucky I have been that the team that walks with me and holds me up and gives good counsel still continue to walk with me.
In the 5 years I have served as the leader of the center for racial equity, I have lost few and retained most.
I don’t think it has very much to do with me.
It has to do with the very happy accident that I did not have to worry about character, nor did I have to worry about competence, nor have I had to worry about loyalty.
It allows me the freedom to let my mind go free.
Every day I walk in gratitude for this amazing group of women.
The delinquents and miscreants of the leadership team are who brings you this amazing content, even as they model what community and what Stout heart looks like everyday, to me, to themselves, and to you as the lace on race community. If you would like to become a delinquent too, if you would love to live as a miscreant of absolute Hesed heart, shoot us a message.
If you have the mustard seeds of audacity, humility, teachability, and reliability, we can help you germinate each of those attributes. I can’t guarantee you that it will be easy. I ask much. But what I can tell you is that if you allow yourself to be changed, you will indeed Turbo Charge your interior life and your exterior practice. I would love to talk with you.
There are some of you who I have seen who have more than mustard seeds, who I have seen walk with resoluteness and reliability over the last months and years. If I or one of leadership team reaches out to you, I hope that you will consider the invitation with intention. And I hope as well that you trust our discernment and what we have seen in you.
I love this community so much. We have so many things we want to do; and many hands make light work. I look forward to talking with each and everyone of you.
