January Wrap Up

Our final numbers for meeting January basic budget fell slightly short of goal. Recognizing winter seasons can be tighter, we hope you are ready to help us transition to some exciting changes here at Lace on Race!

From your Admin Team

We have changed our home page for both ease of navigation and to highlight our focus of the month. In February, we will be focusing in on education. You will see all of our series posts cycling through on the homepage throughout the month, as well as specific in-depth unit discussion in our new community page for Sustainers. Sustainers will be receiving their invitation to that space this week.

A reminder to those who regularly contribute, we have some new resources and gifts for Sustainers. Right now, we have eleven people who have filled out the Sustainer form, but our regular Sustainer cohort is much larger. We want to make sure we are efficient in reaching out to our community. Please fill out this new form to help us do so, even if you filled out our previous one. We will be using this list for reaching out concerning extra resources, new opportunities, and community groups. https://forms.gle/xRkyGLThzeejSMXd8

As a refresher for all, being a Sustainer means a commitment to monthly contributions, both financial and conversational. We purposefully do not make Lace on Race a pay to access space. However, we have found that as people invest their resources, in time, effort, reliable engagement and money, they grow exponentially. Commitment matters.

We are thrilled to be in a position to give you content with deeper implications, easier access, and more resources to help utilize the tools you have developed in this space. Here’s to a February of growth!

As always, keep walking.

A note from Lace:

As I work and write here at GameSchoolCon, I have been struck with the journey that all of us have taken. There are women here at the conference that are part of our community, who have been influenced by our content, ethos, and community, and who have in turn influenced me in the time that we have been walking together.

As well, our partnering with other outside groups in both formal and informal capacities have further broadened our reach and our influence.

That you all have allowed me to live out my dreams for expanding and furthering the conversation and the praxis of those we know–and those we don’t–is one great big blessing to me.

And I am always grateful for the support that I have from all of you to do the work I am called to do, both inside this space and, increasingly crucially, outside these virtual walls.

We do good work. Thanks for walking with me.

As always,

Your Lace

I hope seeing community members at the conference was a great encouragement. It looks like a very helpful conference overall too! I’m definitely going to check out the Black Wall Street game for my family.
