If you have yet to read the Guidelines, please do so. While we are glad to have you here, one of the less rewarding tasks I have as we onboard large cohorts is to have to act like a hall monitor. Reading and following the Guidelines is one of your first acts of discipline and personal praxis. It keeps this space safe-ish, and is the first act here of learning to listen to and heed the words of Black women. We do ask different things of you than in other spaces; we are indeed New People Doing New Things In New Ways. You have a place here in community. You also have responsibilities.
