I’m a paid subscriber to the Atlantic, and no small part because theirarticles have given a lot of fodder here on this page and on the website, and also because I believe in the future of independent journalism. I also believe that these job cuts are going to disproportionately affect people of color, something they Atlantic has done very well with in recent years. This breakdown is infuriating. This didn’t have to happen.
