I got exactly two hours of sleep last night, so I’m going to allow myself to try to get it two more hours of sleep right now.
But first, I want to explore the meme with the little blond girl with the self satisfied expression as she deploys her silence. If you haven’t engaged with it, find it and then do so. No, I’m not providing it here for you. Do a minimal amount of work (literally minimal; three clicks at best) and find it yourself.
So. First a nap.
Then I’m going to be back to talk about ways that white women–and by that I mean *every white woman* fully embody and inhabit the theme of the meme.
Before I close my eyes for a little bit I will leave you with one hint, in the form of a query I expect everyone to answer.
When’s the last time you ever seriously interrogated and challenged and confronted, both internally and out loud, to someone with influence’ -and entails risk (whether real or imagined)- to change what you’re confronting?
How much of the grease of White social capital do you deploy to get by without it at all occurring to you to name and squarely face even as it enables you to slide into and enjoy an enhanced position?
