So do teachers aides, nurses aides, and other classified and paraprofessonals.

This is worthy of conversation that I don’t completely have the spoons for right now, but we do need to look at who is being sainted and who is being forgotten (and devalued still further), and who actually do a lot of the grunt work that the professionals are being lauded for.

Note: I was going to be sure to add a disclaimer here making sure that everybody knows how much I respect teachers and nurses. But I shouldn’t have to do that. Mentioning and honoring those staff people that teachers and nurses reign over should not diminish teachers and nurses. And if it does, that’s another conversation altogether.
