To Boost Or Not To Boost

To insure that the three important posts, where we talk about the website and the Reset, get the most reach, I am going to do what I decided I could no longer afford to do, which is pay to boost to get wider exposure.

In case you’re wondering, this is what I mean when I say FB holds you hostage. The main, perhaps the only reason FB allows you to ‘like’ a page is so that they can monetize you. The only way to reach all of the thousands of you here is to pay to create a ‘sponsored’ post.

It comes at considerable cost, and I am explicitly asking for your help.

For those of you who indicated that they were ‘all in’, now is the time to step up.

This is not a regular ‘ask’. This weekend has been so taken up with all of this that I have not had the time to do that post.

But the posts currently running are important enough to get the widest reach possible.

No histrionic appeals; we shouldn’t need to do that. If you choose to donate, please write ‘done’ in the comments. No need to say amount; this is not about that.

If you can swing something significant, that’s great, but I never want people to feel that their contribution to the health and growth of this community is worth any less, or any more, than anyone else’s. This is a huge value for us; that we are all important, and our contributions pack the same punch. Here we all do the work, and we look everyone in the eye. We are all valued and appreciated, and tangible affirmations are greeted with gratitude, no more and no less for the amount.

Thanks in advance. And yes, I know the paypal graphic is large and somewhat intrusive; I am asking you pointedly to get over that. Whether or not we like it, just having the link alone is always less than effective. We have learned much over the last year.

And yes, I know that even with the ‘all in’ push of the last few days, and detailed explanations of the need to fund this space to insure its continuance, we will lose people. That always hurts. But this space is worth it to me to risk.
