This very adroitly speaks to the frustration and the sometimes seeming futility of trying to entice white people *who swear that they’re down, and are already onboard* to do and to live out what they say they already are committed to.

This bears a serious discussion today and this weekend. We need to crack this code, and 10 months in, we have not. We simply have not. DiDi Delgado says 1000 hands to hold. Try 4000.

This work is crucial, and necessary, and I am committed to it.

Parts of it–the parts where I stand on my head to get white people who swear their fealty to actually live out their praxis with minimal results–parts of it are discouraging and insulting. It does not have to be this hard.

But it is.
