Indeed.

Dr. Ford walked the footprints of Dr. Hill.

Half my life ago I witnessed the first step, crying in my tiny living room.

Yesterday, I heard the echoes of Dr. Hill’s measured tones in Dr. Ford’s tremula.

I was not triggered so much this time. But I was activated.

And galvanized. And convicted. And called.

So we continue to walk. Right hands raised for truth. Calluses on our soles, perhaps, but not our souls.

Never stop walking.
