Which is why there will never be grants or gov contracts, or even super large individual contributions to the LoR community.

Newsweek will not be giving us column inches. Nor will the networks reserve us time.

And even if any of the above were offered, we would say no–because the independent and singular voice and ethos of Lace on Race could be compromised, diluted, rendered neuter.

We have decided that can never happen here.

We depend on small contributions, a little sacrifice/buy in by a lot of you.

Despite it all, we still believe in this model to stay both accessible and, hopefully, sustainable. We know you want us to stick around. We read every PM, appreciate every visit, like, heart, share.

So it is that we offer the opportunity to tangibly support independent black women voices, and to insure that this resource can continue to serve you throughout this election season and beyond.

Thank you for your ears and eyes and hearts.

Support the community of Lace on Race and other independent voices of color.

Now more than ever, you are needed and exhorted.
