Lace on Race; Lace on the ACE (trauma/mental health issues); Lace on Grace (relational ethics)

I am terrified to post this here.

I am more terrified of not talking about mental health, depression, trauma response, and how the community does or does not deal with it well.

It is time to start going deep, for ourselves, for our work, for each other in this beloved community.

Let’s do this.

There is never any shame in truth. I am with you. I will be with you. This is not a pulling back. This is a gearing up.

I am opening up a safe soft space here to talk about how we live our lives as we do what we do. This is not adjunctive to the work. This is a crucial part of the work. Our work, and our beloved community, will only be as healthy and honest and solid as we ourselves are.

Starting with me.
