Welp.

Sometime in the early evening in North Encanto, as I was eating sunflower seeds and watching Netflix, we hit 700 followers.

This is our three week anniversary together here at Lace on Race.

Double blessing.

To you new fellow walkers, welcome. We want, encourage, and expect you to engage with our community in a meaningful way.

There are no spectators, no cheap seats. We are here to learn, and listen, and support, and keep this community viable and healthy.

Welcome home.

Later this evening we will be talking about dimes. And tonight (or maybe tomorrow) we will be talking about BBQ, and parking lots, and video games, all with an eye focused on the soup we live in–the soup where we can change the ingredients and transform our world.

We will ask and expect things from you–but no less than we ask and expect of ourselves. We bring it all, our time, our minds, our resources, and our hearts to this space.

All to you and for you and with you.

We honor your choice to be here. We promise to walk with you. You have already changed us, just by your presence here. As you allow us–allow me–into your force field, we hope to spark change in you too.

As for the rest of you–whether you on board the moment I pressed ‘publish’ 3 weeks ago, or just joined us, the same for us. Challenge, lovingly confront, stretch in every conceivable way. I am audacious enough to want all of you. If you are not taking this stuff out of virtual land and applying it in your day to day, we might as well pack it in. So we will keep talking about the stuff no one else is talking about, including money, including congruence, including praxis.

Three weeks in, we’re all in on the ground floor. Sharing and learning and crying all in joy and determination.
