Lace on Faith

‘I’ve really enjoyed studying Ruth this time around and have been able to pull out a whole new set of ideas from it as I look at the text from a social justice standpoint. Really seeing and knowing another will always cost me something. I have to be willing to reveal myself-to be known as well as to know. Once I truly know another, I can’t just turn away from their pain and do nothing without compromising my integrity. It’s risky to really know another person. Ruth was willing to do so. Boaz was willing. How willing am I? I have to answer that question over and over.’
